1. I love it when my friends start new bands. Feeling particularly excited this week about Kendall-formerly-known-as-Mascott. She’s recording a new album RIGHT NOW as WE SPEAK in Knoxville, Tennessee, with Anders Parker, and I can’t wait to hear it. I am also slightly jealous and wish I were kicking around in a Tennessee recording studio too.

2. The amazing human commonly known by his mortal name Doug Keith is playing solo shows again (he has been out on the road forever and ever with SVE). In fact, he is going to be at Cake Shop tonight, which is where I would be if I weren’t going to be hanging out with my bestfriendandbandmate on Washington Heights Free Radio (9-10pm EST). Doug is one of my favorite guitar players and I hope I can find him again soon.

3. In other good news, songcraftsperson Blair has a new project - Future of What. Of course I will be out of town for their debut show at Rock Shop next week. But maybe you will be in Brooklyn?

4a. Last but not least, who wants to be my date for Cara Salimando’s show Thursday night at Studio at Webster Hall?
